AUCKLAND RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.

A xnraa-of No. 3 (Parnell) Company of the Anokland Bifle Volunteer*, for the election of officers, Ac., took place at half-pa»t seren o'clock on the evening of Wednesday last, at the Alexandra Hotel— Major C. Heaphy, V.C., in the chair. Ensign Hnnter was nominated lieutenant, and Colour-Sergrant McConnell ensign. Mr. S. M. Manders was elected «ergeant, and Meisn. J. Oiborne and A. Soall corporals. A motion wai proposed^ and carried, to the effect that the Finance Committee of No. 8 Company should be requested to co-operate with members of other companies in preparing an address of -welcome from the volunteer forces to the Doke of Edinburgh, on his arrival in Auckland. The proceedings then terminated.
