HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR.
Br the ' Lord Ashley,' which arrived from Wellington yesterday, we learn that his Excellency Sir G-. ! F. Sowen was to leave for Auckland on Saturday evening next, in H.M. 'Falcon.' We may therefore expect hii arrival on Wednesday or Thunday next. At we have before stated, Lady Bo wen will nob accompany his Excellency to Auckland, nor will she leave Wellington on the occasion of the Duke of Edinburgh's visit to this province. The reason given is tbat she would not be able to accompany the Governor and his Royal Highness in their visits 'to the various parts of this and other provinces, there being no 'accommodation for her Ladyship on board the 'Galatea.' ,
