The b.s. • Tauranga,' which arrived from the Thames on Saturday eveuing, brought 127 pa«aengers, and 350 ounces of retorted gold, the product of the All Nations' Claim. Beyond tbis there is little to report. Meisrs. Ellis and Co.'i powerful crushing machinery commenced working on Saturday with very satisfactory results, Deteotive Crick came up in the steamer in charge of a prisoner* named Edward Mooney, who was aencenccd to two months' imprisonment with hard labour at the Kesident Magistrate's Court, Shortland Town, on Saturday last, on a charge of stealing a bag of biscuits and a bag of suear, the property of W. B. Montgomery. Thomas Mooney, his brother, was also arraigned on the charge, but, the evidence being hmifficient, he was acquitted. Both men are well known, and called witness to character. A youth named Willi-m H«Hae 14 years of age, was also arraigned before Mr. Commissioner Mackay, 8.M., on a charge of larceny, but the case was remanded until Wednesday next,
