Commissariat, New Zealand, Controller's Office, Albert Barracks, Auckland, December 14, 1867. npENDERS in duplicate will be received at the X above office until noon of MONDAY, the 6th January, 1868, from persons willing to CONTRACT for the SUPPLY of the UNDER-MENTIONED ARTICLES, in such quantities, at such time?, and at such places asmay be directed by the undersigned, or by his successor in office, duriug the twelve calendar months commencing Ist April, 1868 :—: — To be delivered as demanded, at any place within seven miles of Auckland, at the risk and expense of the contractor, viz, :— Fresh Meat, at per lb. Bread, at perlb. Biscuit, at per lb. Grocery Ration, consisting of — l-6th oz. Tea 2 oz. Sugar ) £ oz. Coffee i oz, Salt [at per Ration l-36th oz. Pepper ) Coal, Australian, Best Screened, at per 1001b. Coal, Kawakawa, Best Screened, at per 1001b. Firewood, at per 1001b. Mould Candles, at per lb. ") Composite Candles, at perlb. f |To be included in Common Oil, at per gallon | one tender, which Seal Oil, at per gallon J- will be accepted Circular Cotton Wick, at per I or rejected as a dozen I whole. Common Wick, at per lb. ) Oats ) Maize >at per 1001b. ditto Bran ) Straw for Commissariat and Barrack Services, at per 1001b.
No packages, sacks, &c, will be paid for. Samples of the whole of the above supplies, perishable articles excepted, must be left at the Commissariat Office on or before the date of opening
tenders. Forms of tender and any information required, with estimates of the probable quantities of the various supplies required, may be obtained on
application at this office. Tenders to be on the printed form, properly filled up, signed, and delivered, in duplicate, tinder a sealed envelope, marked on the outside, " Tender for Fresh Meat," "Tender for Bread, " &c, as the case may be ; and no tender will be noticed unless made on those forms.
