POLICE COURT.— Thursday. [Before T. Beckham, Esq., R.M.]

DBUNKENNESS. Several persons were punished for drunken* ness. IAECENT. Amelia Thornley was charged by Edward Bartley with stealing from the new Supreme Court, Eden-street, during the last month past, about two dozen pieces of timber, value 10s. Prisoner pleaded guilty, and said she was sorry for what she had done. The prosecutor said that he would rather withdraw the case, in consideration for prisoner's family. Hii Worship then diicharged the prisoner with a caution. LUNATIC. Nicholas Benson was charged with being a dangerous lunatic, and, on the evidence of Drs. Stratford and Peirce, ordered to be sent to the Lunatic Asylum. This concluded the police business.
