NEW ZEALAND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
THE Society will hold their Annual CATTLE SHOW on WEDNESDAY, the 13th November next, at the Remuera Sale Yards. Prizes will be given for the best animals of the following breeds, namely : — HORSES. Class I. — Thoeoughbeed. — Section 1, entires ; section 2, colts, twQ years and under ; section 3, brood mares ; section 4, fillies, three years and under ; section 5, fillies, two years and under. Class II. — Heavy Dbaught. — Section 1, entires ; section 2, colts, two years and under ; section 3, brood mares, in foal, or foal at foot ; section 4, fillies, three years and under ; section 5, fillies, two years and under ; section 6, fillies, one year and under. Class lII.—- Roadstebs.— Sectionl,Eoadaters suitable for either saddle or harness, of either sex. CATTLE. Class I. — Shobt-hobns. — Section 1, bulls; section 2, bulls, two years and under ; section j 3, cows, in calf or milk ; section 4, heifers, two years and under. Class II. — Hebefobds.— Section 1, bulls; section 2, bulls, two years and under ; section 3, cows in calf or milk ; section 4, heifers, two years and under. Class 111. — Best of any other Bbeed. — Section 1, cows ; section 2, heifers, two years and under. SHEEP. Class I. — Leicestebs.— Section 1, ramsd section 2, hog rams ; section 3, ewes lambe, this season or in lamb (pen of five) ; section 4j ewe hoggets (pen of five). Class II. — Cots wold.— Section 1, rams ; section 2, hog rams ; section 3, ewes lambed this season or in lamb (pen of five) ; section 4, ewe hoggets (pen of five). Class lll.— Lincolns. — Section 1, rams ; section 2, hog rams ; section 3, ewes lambed this season or in lamb (pen of five) ; section 4, ewe hoggets (pen of five). Class IV.— Longwools of any other Breed. — Section 1, rams ; section 2, hog rams ; section 3, ewes lambed this season, or in lamb (pen of five) ; section 4, ewe hoggets (pen of five). Class V. — Sotjthdowns. — Section 1, rams: section 8, hog rams ; section 3, ewes lambed this season, or in lamb (pen of five) ; section 4, ewe hoggets (pen of five). Class Vl.— Merinos. — Section 1, rams ; section 2, hog rams ; section 3, ewes lambed this season, or in lamb (pen of five) ; section 4, ewe hoggets (pen of five). PIGS. Class I. — Labge Breed.— Section 1, boars section 2, sows. Class II. — Small Bbeed. — Section 1, boars ; section 2, sows. EXTRA STOCK. Best team of draught horses, the property of one person. WOE KING BULLOCKS. Best team of four in yoke. A SHEAP-SHEAEING- MATCH will be held on the day of the Show for the following prizes : — Ist class, men : Ist prize, £2 25.; second prize, £1 Is.; third prize, 10s. 6d. Second class, boys : Ist prize, £1 Is.; second prize, 10s. 6d. ENTRANCE FEES : Horses, per head 5 0 Cattle, per head 2 6 Sheep, per pen 2 0 Pigs, per head 2 0 Extra Stock 2 0 Tickets of Admission for the Stock will be given to exhibitors on their payment of the Entrance Fee to the Secretary, and no stock will be admitted without such ticket. Stock will be admitted on the ground on the morning of the show until 9.30 a.m., after which no Stock will be admitted. All horse stock must be led. No stock to be removed from the show-yards before 4 p.m. Stewards to cause any sheep to be shorn at the request of the judges. The sheep-shearing will commence at halfpast two o'clock. Time allowed, 40 minutes. In case of any diapute ariaing, the decision of the Committee to be final. All entries to be left at the Post-office, Ofcahuhu, not later than the sfch November, at 3 p.m., addressed to the Secretary. J. GORDON, Secretary.
