THE STAMP DUTIES ACT AMENDMENT ACT.
The following clause was inadvertently omitted from the reprint of an Act to amend the Stamp Duties Act, 1866, which appeared in yesterday's impression :— " Clause 20. It shall not be necessary m any case where under the said Act or this Act an impressed stamp may lawfully be used to cancel such stamp except where such stamp is impressed by the Commissioner upon a deed or instrument after the execution or signing thereof. Provided that no impressed stamp shall bo used as an adhesive stamp or to denote the duty paid on any deed or initrument written engrossed or printed on any paper vellum parchment or material other than that on wbioh s,uch stamp is impressed,"
