SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9. DURHAM-STREET SALE YABDS. WM. HUNTER & CO. Will sell by auction, on Saturday, the 9th of November next, at the Durham Sale Yards, before commencing the horse Bale, QHORT-HORN BULL, YOUNG KNIGHT. SEVEN LEICESTER RAMS. The BULL is One Year and Ten Months Old, from Colonel TOWNLEY'S Celebrated Stock, by Roan Knight, out of Venilia. The sire of Roan Knight was from the same cow as Colonel Townley's famous cow Butterfly; Roan Knight is from Colonel Townley's Beauty. Venilia was granddam to Master Butterfly 2nd, and is also granddam to Colonel Townley's celebrated heifer Fidelity. The RAMS are from the West Dereham Abbey Flock, which has supplied rams to the most famous breeders in England and Scotland, the French and Russian Emperors, America, the Australian colonies, &c. The Proprietor of the flock has received during the last 20 years over 300 prizes from the Royal and other shows, and 100 from Fat Cattle Shows at Smithfield and Birmingham, for fat sheep and the produce of these rams.
