The following return shows the sbate of the Mount Eden Gaol on Saturday last, October 28th :— Awaiting trial before Supreme Court, 8 males ; sentenced to penal servitude, 43 males ; sentenced to hard labour, 114 males, 6 females ; in default of bail, 3 males, 4 females ; detained for imprisonment, 7 males ; debtors, 11 males. Discharged during the week, 6 males, 4 females; received during the week, 10 males, 4 females. Total in g»ol, 186 males, 10 females,— Tsqmas
