Prima Donna, schooner, 86 tons, Cook, for Auckland ; September 16, America, ketch, for South Sea Islands. Total Wbe«k or the Basques Matador and BbightPlanit at Bum. — The above-named vessels, owned by Mr. Shoobert, hare been for some time employed in the coal trxde. and were both lying at Bulli on Saturday, when it came on to blow from the southward. The Matador had on board 80 tons coal, and ab once got under weigh, but unfortunately tao. i*iti in gee out, and she came on shore at night, with all sail set, near the jetty, when her mpst went ov«r the side. The Bright Planet went ashore near Mr. McCauley's, and boih vessels are fast breaking up. The Matador is insured for £750 and the Bright Planet for £500, both in the office of the Australasian Insurance The Kaikoura (s.) — This steamer is now in the WaterTiew Bay Dry Dock, for the purpose of being overhauled and painted by Messrs, Me Arthur and Co. On examination it was found that the plates on the starboard bilge, in the wake of the mainmast, had been considerably injured, consequent on the vesiel's touching a rock off Taranaki on her last passage en route for Panama. The keel rivets, from the mainmast aft to the sternpost, have also been started, and will have to be replaced. She will also be supplied with a new screw of less pitoh, which it is anticipated will give her still greater speed.— Sydney Morning Herald, September 14.
