PAPAKURA VALLEY, — MEETING OF HIGHWAY TRUSTEES.
According to announcement, a large meeting of ratepayers of this district took place, at the School-house, on Tuesday afternoon last, for the purpose of making objections to the assessment of 6d. per acre. After considerable discussion, it was resolved that a general meeting of the ratepayers should take place, for the purpose of electing trustees for theensuing year,and levying a rate for the construction and repair of roads and bridges in the district. The proceedings then terminated.
