NAVAL AND MILITARY INTELLIGENCE. [From July 1 to August 2.]

The detachment of Commissariat Stuff Corps, men of th» Army Hospital Corps, »nd casuals of the various regiments in Auckland, embarked on board the 'John Scott 1 at nine a.m. on.Thursday, the 18th July, and left for England on the 21at. The head-quarters staff, consisting of MajorGeneral Sir Trevor Chute, X.C.8., Major Baker, Aieistant-Adjutant-General, and Colo&el Pitt, C.8., Assistant-Military-Secretary, proceed in the <( Auckland,' en route for Melbourne, on the 2nd proximo. The Military Store, Commissariat, and Purveyor* establishment! will still remain at Auckland. There is no likelihood of any of the 18th Regiment arriving at Auckland for the present, with the exception of about twenty who sent here to do duty. The regiment is to remain at Wangtnui until the Parliament, at present in session, decide on a new distribution of that corps. H.M. s. Falcon is expected shortly to arrive in Anckland from a cruise. H M.s. Charybdis, left for Wellington on the 3rd July with the Governor on board. H.M.s. Esk left the same day for England.
