Mr. A. Bucklandheld a Urge sale of cattle and ■beep today, at the Remuera eale-yards, and, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, there was an unusually large attendance. The sale realised something like £3,000, and the hidding was Tery brisk, as will be seen by the following quotations :— 5 long-woolled ewei, £4 12s 6d each, W. Kerr; 6 ewes, £3 ss, O. C. McGee; 83 ewes, £2 12s 6d, Captain Hamilton ; 26 ewes, £4 10s, Crocker ; 25 ewes, £3 17*, G. G. Walter ; 25 ewes, £4 Is, Bassett; 45 ewes, £2 10s, O. O. McGee; 45 ewe*, £3, Major Jack«on j 91 ewes, £2 7a 6d, Constable ; 118 ewe hoggets, 38s, Storey; 59 ewe hoggets, 88s, McNiccol ; 62 aged ewes, 31s, T. Beid ; 46 aged ewes, 375, W. C. Hill ; rami averaged from £2 155t0 £12. Cattle : Eighteen-months-old averaged from £5 5s to £7 10s; yearlings, from £4 to £5 10s; calves, from £2 2a 6d to £4. The ■ale passed off very successfully, and altogether shows a decided improvement in the market.
