CITY OF AUCKLAND ASSESSMENT. GENERAL AND SEWERAGE BATE. Cicy Board of Commissioners' Office, Auckland, July 29, 1867. NOTICE ia hereby given that the Commissioners under the City Board Act, 1863, the City Board Act, 1863, Amendment Act, and the City Board Act Amendment Act, 1865, have this day made a GENERAL RATE of NINE-PENCE per pound, and a SEWERAGE RATE of ONE PENNY per pound, on the Net Annual Value of the Property Assessable under the said Acts, for the period from the Ist day of June to the 30th day of November, 1867, which is now due and payable ; and all parties who may consider themselves aggrieved on the ground of irregularity, unfairness, or incorrectness in the valuation, or in the amount assessed thereon, are hereby required, within fourteen days, from the date hereof, to give notice to the Clerk of the Board of such their objections, and to state explicitly the the grounds thereof. IN purauance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the Regulation of Elections Aot, 1858, I, John Jbrmyn Symokds, .Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Pensioner Settlements, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the eighteenth day of July, 1867, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION of CANDIDATES will take place at the Police-station, Panmure, on MONDAY, the fifth day of August, 1867, at 12 o'clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on THURSDAY, the eighth day of August, 1867.
