NEW ZEALAND GAZETTES.
By the arrival in harbour of the « Wellington' yesterday, with Southern mails, we have received four copies of General Gorernment Gazettes, ot various dates. ,„,,.. j. A Gazette was published on the 10th instant, containing farther prorogation of the meeting of the Gsneral Assembly, at Wellington, until the 30th proximo. The Gazette published on Friday, the 12th instant, contains order in Council relative to Bay of Islands Settlements Act, 1858; appointment of trustees under the Otago Harbour Loan Ordinance, 1862 ; prison regulations for the province of Southland; appointment of new polling - place for the district of Manuherikia ; notices under the Customs Regulations Act, 1858, and Savings Bank Act, 1858 ; also that the Hon. John Johnston, and George Outfield, Esq., h»ve resigned their seats in the Legislative Council, and that the Hon. John Larkins Cheese Richardson and the Hon. John McLean have been summoned thereto ; that the Hon. Daniel Pollen has been appointed General Government Agent in Auckland, in the room of F. Whitaker, Esq., resigned ; that the Governor has been pleased to appoint the following gentleman to be Justice of ! the Peace for the colony of New Zealand : — James Farmer, Esq., Auckland ; that John Alex. Wilson, Esq., is appointed agent for the Crown at the Compensation Court to be held at Opotiki ; tnat Horace George Ford, Esq., and Edwin James Campion, ! Esq., are appointed surveyors under the Native Lands Act, 1865 ; and Pairama Ngutahi and Matini Murupaenga are appointed assessors. The Gazette also contains judgment of the Compensation Court in the case of the Papakura block ; names of the following officiating ministers within the meaning of the Marriage Act, 1854 : United Church of England and Ireland— the Rev. Jame3 O'Bryen Hone; Free Church of Scotland — the Rev. Robert Scrirageour, the Rev. John Ryley; Werieyan Methodist Society— the Rev. Joseph Berry, the Rev. John Whewell; Congregational Independent— The Rev. Richard Connebee. Statement of accounts by Laughlin OBrien, Esq., Registrar of the Supreme Court, in aocount with the estates of Edward King, Francis William Piittie, and James McKenzie, deceased, intestates; receipts and disbursements on account of trust funds for the three quarters ended 31st December, 1866. A Gazette published on Monday, April 15, contains report of representatives of New Zealand at the Postal Conference. The Gazette published Saturday, April 30, contains notice of appointment of James Benn Bradshaw, Esq., for the General Government in the Otago goldfields; that the officers commanding corps of militia and volunteers, and adjutants of militia and volunteer forces in the colony, and Hugh Carleton, Esq., may frank letters or packets sent by them on the public service ; that Captain J. M. Clark, of the Auckland Rifle Volunteers, and Cornet A. R. Shackell, Royal Cavalry Volunteers, have resigned their commissions.
