position, »s -vrell a« could be determined, w*« fixed by Captain Renault in latitude 38 30 S., and longi« tude 12730 E. These points agree "with what is laid down on the chart at a doubtful island. -^-Argiis, April 1, Recent arrivals from Chinese ports mention the probable departure, about the beginning of February, from Hongkong, of the Italian war frigate Magenta, for this port — Ibid.
