The new Tycoon was installed on 16th January. His youngest brother proceeds to the P*r«« # Exhibition as custodian of the Japanese contribution, and remains four years to complete his education. Destructive fires continue at Yokohama. It is rumoured that the Japanese intend making war upon Corea j they have purchased a number of gunboats. The Coreans imprisoned the mediating Chinese embassy.
