ARRIVAL OF THE S.S. 'AUCKLAND' WITH THE ENGLISH MAIL.
[A portion of the following appeared in our second edition yesterday.] (FROM THE "SYDNEY MORNING HERALD'S " KINO GEORGE'S SOUND TELEGRAPHIC CORRESPONDENT.) Adelaide, Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m. The 'Alexandra,' Captain Brown, arrived off the pier, at Glenelg, at 10.30 p.m. last night, 109 nourb from the Sound. The downward passage occupied «8 hours. _ . . „ The mail Bteamer 'Bombay,' Captain Burne, arrived at the Sound at 6 a.m. on the Bth April ; she left Galle on the 23rd March, at 6 p.m. The weather from Galle to the Sound was unfavourable, there being a continuance of heavy weather and heavy sea. The 'Bombay' was to leave the Sound at 5 p.m. on the Bth. Uapt»in Goss is naval agent ; Mr. Bailey, purser.
