THE SUPERINTENDENCY.— REASONS WHY I SHALL VOTE FOR JOHN WILLIAMSON.

To the Editor of the Daily Southisn Cross. Biciuss, from Ms long experience in the colony, he knows its wants, and because he has already shown that he will fearlessly do what he believes to be right. Because he is an unselfish man, and has never shown that self is uppermost in hi» political mores. Because his past experience as Superintendent has fitted him beyond any other man in the province to take the helm at the present time, Beoause at the last election the electors took a false step in getting him to retire from the conte at in farour of a much worse man. Because during his whole tenure of office he devoted himself exclusively to the duties of the Superintendence regardless of his own private interests. Beoause of all our member* in the House of Representative! he hai shown himself to be the most able and fearless. Because he does not stipulate for an extra £700 per annum, and beoause his pecuniary difficulties, whatever they may be, have been produced by hii anxiety and devotedness to his political duties. Beoause he has done more for the real improvement of Auckland than any other man amongst us. Because he is not a lawyer or a soldier, butasettler — one of ourselves— who, by hii tact, talent, integrity, and ability, has risen to his present position, and will be guided in his aotions by the interests of the oolony. For these and many more reasons, after an ex* perience of fifteen years, I shall vote for John Williamson. J. Cbishb. Mauku, April 4, 1867.
