(nOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) September 23, evening. Blowing a hard gale from the N.E. The cutter Bonita was beating in, and when about three miles from the Pilot Station, South Head, a heavy squall struck the vessel, which blew away the mainsail, jib, and staysail. Anchors were immediately let go ; but owing to the bottom being of a quicksand nature, she dragged and came on shore near to the Well, and is now lying broadside on. There are great fears of- her becoming a total wreck, the sea breaking clear over her. The crew can bo seen on deck, but we ojranot get near to render any assistance. September 28, 11.30 a.m. A flag flying from masthead of the Bonita, Union down. P.M.: Crew and passengers arrived at Pilot Station ; report water in the vessel, and everything floating about the cabin. The cutters Julia, Snow, Show, and Minnie are attending the wreck. 1 September 29. Weather more moderate; and at low tides attempts will be made to-day to save cargo/
