Breadstuff's are generally lower and dull. Flour ranges from 7 dols. 17c. to I7dols. per bbl. ; wheat at Idol. 72c. to 2dols. 88c. per bushel, and corn at 80c. to 85c. Provisions are firm and active. Cotton is firm at 37£ c to 39c. per pound for middling. * Government bonds are quiet but firm, while railway securities are dull and unsettled. The money market is quiet and tending towards greater ea&e. The general rate for call loarii is five percent., and the extremes of the market are four and six per cent. The payment of interest by the Treasury Department on June 15 will amount to 10,950,000-lols. in lawful money. During July the disbursements by - Government on interest account, in lawful money, will be 8,432,740d018., and in gold coin, 9,738, 129d015. The fluctuations in the gold market during the week have been unusually great, ranging from 146£
to 138, 1 ." The decline wag caused by heavy sborb sale-, and the borrowing demaud to-day was active at 116 ]iiemiutn for gold loans. The next news from Europe is expected to be more favourable, and the bears look for a further decline to the neighbourhood of 130 as one of the results. The foreign exchange market is hpavy at the following quotations; Bankers' sixty-day. London 109| to 109$ ; at three clays' sight, 111 to 11 1J ; Pnris BJxby-day, 5-10 to 5 08$ ; three days' 5.074 t0 5.06£.
