TESTIMONIAL TO MR. DE BURGH ADAMS. A MEETING of the Committee was held on Saturday, 21st instant, at the Mechanics' Institute, when the following gentlemen were proposed and added to the Committee :—: — Messrs. David Graham Samuel Cochrane Mark Somerville Jerome Cadman Dr. Goldsbro' • Morton Jones Captain Dinnin 1 Geo. Webster F. H. Lewisson, and I M. Lambert (Military Train). * fThe Committee resolved to subdivide the City and Suburbs of Auckland' into districts, and appoint Members of the Committee to collect subscriptions. It 'also resolved to form a Sub-Committee at Onehunga and Otahuhu,- and that the Hon. Secretary should request Messrs. Daniels and Hallimore of the ' former place, and Messrs. *Thos. Raggon and Gordon of the latter place, to take the necessary steps for accomplishing the objects of the Meeting. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated th« proceedings.

THE GENER AL CEMETERY, SYMONDSSTREET. SUBSCRIPTIONS are requested from those whose relatives and friends are interred in the above Cemetery, for COMPLETING the IMPROVEMENTS which have been commenced in this hitherto neglected Burial Ground.
