WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14. PERIODICAL SALES OF PURE-BRED SHEEP, ALFRED BUCKLAND RESPECTFULLY informs his friends that he purposes holding, at Newmarket, on the second Wednesday in February, and the first Wednesday in October, in each year, a sale of Purebred SHEEP of all classes. The number of breeders of first-class sheep which we have at the present time in Auckland wil render a aale of this character of considerable importance by bringing the flocks of different breeders to the best possible test— that of "public opinion" —and the number and quality of stock which can be offered at those auctions will, at no distant period, occasion buyers to attend from the neighbouring provinces and colonies. Those who purpose selling at the first sale, to beheld on the 14th February next, will oblige by forwarding numbers and description without delay, in order that the advertisements may be sent to the Southern provinces by first steamer leaving.
