ARRIVAL OF THE QUBEN- FROM SOUTHERN PORTS. The N'.Z.S.N. Co's s.s. Queen, Captain George P. Thompson, left Wellington on Monday, sth inst, at 3 p.m., having been detained one day by the Government. Arrived at Napier on Tuesday, 6th inst., at 9.30 p.m. Left again on the 7th, and arrived at Taucangaat 7 a.m, on the 9th. Left at 10 a.m. same day, and arrived at Auckland on Saturday, 10th insfc., at 5 a.m. Experienced fine weather during the entire passage. Saw H.M. s. Eclipse off Cape Runaway, standing to the northward under sail ; and schooner Tauranga, anchored off Mongonui Bluff. Paved schooner Jane, off Castle Bock. Passengers :- Messrs. W. Corbett, W. ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE KATE WATERS. The fine cattle barque Kate Waters, Captain Calder, put into the Tamaki at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, from Gladstone, Port Curtis, Queensland, with a cargo of fat cattle on account of Mr. Johnson, contractor for supply of troops. She left Fort Curtis on the 27th ult., and had a fine favourable wind for several days, which was succeeded by calms and light breezes. Made the Three Kings on the sth instant, and had light winds since until yesterday morning, when a moderate favourable breeze sprang up, which carried her straight to the cable anchorage near the Tamaki about the time named. She brings a cargo of fat cattle, from the best selected herds, which are landed in excellent condition, with loss of only a few during the passage. Cargo: 220 head, Johnson.— J. S. Macfarlane and Co., agents.

ARRIVAL OF THE SCHOONER CORAL QUEEN. The schooner Coral Queen, Captain Trayte, arrived in harbour yesterday morning from Sydney, with a cargo of coals, &c. She left Sydney deads at 10.30 on the morning of the 23rd ultimo, and experienced light easterly winds all the passage. Sighted the Three Kings on the 4th instant, and afterwards had a continuation of calms until Friday evening-, when a moderate breeze sprang up, and continued lightly until her arrival yesterday morning. Exchanged signals with the barque Kate on Saturday, and also sighted the barque Constance off Cape Brett. Cargo : 70 tons coals, Combes and Daldy ; 17 hhds. bacon, order ; 7 cases sundries, for South Sea Islands. — Combes and Daldy, agents.

THE P.S. TASMANIAN MAID. The paddle steamer Tasmanian Maid, Captain Jackson, arrived in harbour at three o'clook on Saturday morning from Wangarei, with a small cargo of pronuce, and a full complement of passengers. She left Wangarei at noon on Friday, and had fine weather down the coast.

THE SCHOONER IV AM HOE. The schooner Ivanhoe, Captain McGregor, arrived in harbour yesterday from Wangarei, after a quick run down the coast. She brings a small cargo of produce and three passengers. — Cruickshank, Smart, and Co., agents.

THE CUTTER AMERICA. The fine cutter America, Captain Wheeler, which left this port about a fortnight ago for Norfolk Island, arrived in harbour yesterday, having put back from the Bay of Inlands, owing to some misunderstanding between the captain and mate on board. She lay at the Biy a week before returning to port.

THE ROB HOY. The new cutter Rob Roy, Captain McLeod, arrived in harbour at 5. 30 on Saturday evening from Mongonui, with piles, equare timber, and kauri gum. She left Mongonui on Tuesday evening, and had light E. winds aud calms along the coast until Saturday afternoon, when a good N.W. breeze sprang up. Cargo: Piles, square timber, and kauri gum. Passengers: 7. — Cruiekshauk, Smart, and Co., agents.

THE SCHOONER HELEN. The schooner Helen, Captain Ricketts, arrived in harbour on Saturday, from Tairoa, with a full car go of sawn timber from the mills at that place, and will discharge alongside Custom-house-street this morn* ing. She also brought several passengers from Tairua.

THE SCHOONER GENERAL CAMERON. The schooner General Cameron, Captain Joyce, arrived in harbour at 10 o'clock on Saturday evening, from the Bay of Islands, with fruit, Ac., and neven passengers. She left the Bay at 8.30 on Friday evening, and made a good passage, with a N. W. wiml, along the coast, arriving as above. Cargo : 40 cases of fruit ; pigs and poultry. Passengers : Nfessw. Robinson, Dunn, .Flowerday; Master Callahan, Miss Scott, Mrs. Crook, and one in steerage. — Owen and Graham. «g<mts.

! THE SCHOONER SEA BREEZE. The schooner Sea Breeze, Captain Norris, arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon from Russell, Bay of Island*, with a cargo of kauri gum and 15 passengers. She left the bay at half past three pm. on the previous day, and made a quick run down the coast, with a favourable wind, arriving at her anchorage aa above. Reports the whaling ship Minton, Captain Grant, from New Bedford, as the only veosel at the bay when she sailed. The English ship Mary Shepherd was daily expected. Cargo : 4 tons kauri gum. Passengers : Mr. and Miss King 1 , Miss Henley, Mr. Picton, and 10 natives. — Edmonds and Jakins, agents.

NOTICE TO MARINERS. The following notice to mariners, issued by the Government of the colouy of Victoria, respecting the Antipodes and Bounty Islands, is published in the General Government Gazette of January 30 : — "antipodes and botthty islands. "In consequence of considerable discrepancy having been found in the latitude and longitude of the Antipodes and Bounty Islands, m furnished by several nautical books and charts, the following notice of their correct position, ascertained by Commander Norman during the Victoria's recent search amongst these islands for shipwrecked men, is published for general information. Henderson and Macfarlane's barque Kate had put back to port, owing to the strong winds lately prevailing ; but, on further reference, it was found to be the cattle barque Kate Waters. The fallowing coasters entered innards at the Customs on Saturday : — Glance, cutter, from Matakana; Elf, cutter, from Puhoi ; Bessy, cutter, from Thames ; Stag, cutter, from Omaha ; and Petrel, cutter, from Coromandel. The schooner Mary Ann White, Knight, master, arrived yesterday from Waiheki with firewood. The schooner George, Nicholls, master, arrived yesterday from the Thames, with produce and passengers. The cutter Comet, Dean, mwter, arrived yesterday from Puhoi, with firewood. The cutter four Sisters, Kelly, master, arrived yesterday from the Wade, with timber, produce, and several passengers. The schooner Alice, Capt. Winding, left the harbour at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning for Sydney, with the members of Messrs. Cooke, Zoyara, and Wilson's American Circus. The cutter Dolphin, Thomson, master, arrived on Saturday from the Great Barrier island, frith a cargo of sawn timber. The cutter Aquila arrived in harbour yesterday from the Kaipara, after a good run down wich light winds and calms, with a cargo of 11,000 feet of sawn timber, and several passengers. The schooner Morning Light, Tiller, master, ar« rived on Saturday from Mahurangi, with a cargo of firewood. The schooner Lily, Joseph, master, arrived yesterday fiom Waiheki with a cargo of firewood. The cutter Shamrock, St-pbens, ulster, arrived on Satuiday fiom Port Charles, Great Barrier J aland, with a cargo of sawn timber. The cutter Cordelia, Brown, master, arrived in harbour yesterday from Mahurangi, with a full cargo of produce and several passengers. The cutter Waterlily, Allan, master, arrived in harbour yesterday from Waibeki, with a cargo of firewood. The cutter Wanderer, Mirk, master, arrived on Saturday from Coromandel, with a cargo of sawn timber, &c, and passengers.
