HALF YEARLY MEETING OF LAND SOCIETY No. 2.

The first half-yearly meeting of the members of Land Society No. 2, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held in the Odd Fellows' Hall last e veiling, in older to leceive Ihe half-yearly statement of accounts aud to fill uji vacancies iv the committeo. There was only a email attendance of member!". Mr J. Seabkook (president of the society) occupied the chair, aud having lead the advertisement convening the meeting, called upon the secretary (JMV. Lepine) to lead tha statement of accounts The bECRKrAKY then presented the following account of sums leceived and expended on aooount of the society : — Abstract of Receipt* and Expenditure during 28 weeks, ending October 7:—

Kidincis, I A ,,.,,i._ E. J. Cox, '] Auditors. Ou the proposition of Mr. S. M. Green, seconded by Mr. W. Cow?iT, the accounts were adopted. The President then intimated that the next business was the election of three members of committee, in lieu of i etiring committeemen. On the pioposition of Mr. Gbkkn, seoouded byMr. Adams, Messrs. MoLeod, Gee, and Adams were duly elected to fill up the vncancieo. A vote of thanks to the Preiident terminated the pioceedings.
