NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
We are in receipt o£ a New Zealand Gazelle, dated November 18, and which contains several notifications of local interest. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to delegate powers, under the Publio Domains Act, 1860, to the undermentioned persons : — Frederick Whitaker, Esq., to be chairman ; Kobort Graham, Esq., Hon. Hon. J. A. Gilfillan, Francis Dart Fenton, Esq., G. B. Owen, Esq., R. F. Poiter, Esq., Richard Eidings, Esq. The following gentlemen have been appointed trustees under the Maori Fund Investment Act, 1855: — H. 0. Balueavia, Esq., Rev. F. J. Lloyd, and Richard Ridings, Esq. The post-offices at Tauranga, Newcastle, Alexandra, and Cambridge are appointed money-order offices ; and the post office at Tauranga is; constituted a post office of the second clasa for the exchange of separate mails. The following gentlemen are appointed Judges of the Native Laud Court:— Messrs. John Rogan, H. A. H.Munro, T. H. Smith, W. B. White, P. E. Maning. The Gazette alto contains proclamations for the naturalization of certain persons ; declaring the Westlaud districb to be a districb for the formation of jury lists, &c. ; order* in council fhiug fees to be taken in respecb of proceedings in civil cases before Resident Magistrates; delegation under the Native Reserves Act, 1562 ; warrants defiuing sheriff's district of Westland, Can tei bury ; delegation of powers under Post Office Act to the Hon. E. W. Stafford, Post-master-Geueral; also Governor's order appointing the river Grey a warehousing port, and declaring the porb of Taieri no longer a porb of entry j despatches from Major-General Chute and officers commanding on the East and West Coast, relative to engagements, the details of which have long since been published j and numerous appointments of officers iv the several provinces in the colony.
