Her Majesty, and the Princess Holen«» Louise, »ad Beatrice, left Windsor on May 19 for Scotland, »nd arrived at Balmoral Castle, on the afternoon of iho following day. The Queen will retuw to Wmdtor Castle on June 13. Tho Queon held her fifth Court at Buckingham Palace on May 15. Her Majesty, accompanied by tho Prince of Wales, Prinews Helena, Princess Louise, and Princess Mary of Cambridge, entered the Throne Room at 3 o'clock. The Queen woro a black silk dress, with train trimmed with crape and jet; a Mary Queen of Scots cap, with long veil, tho ea» ornamented with largepeails. Hot Majesty wore four iows o£ lnrgo pearls round tho neck, and pearl brooches ; the Riband and tho Star of the Order of the Garter, the Victoria aud Albert Order, and tho Order of Loniso of Prussia. In the course of the ovoning her Majesty returned to Windsor, By command of the Queen a State Ball was given on the eveniug of May 16 ab Buckingham Palace, to which a party of upwards of 1,700 was invited. Her Royal Highness the Princess Helena held a drawing room on May 18 at St. James's Palace, on behalf of her Majesty the Queen. The Prince of Wales held a lovCe at St. Jamcb's on May 20 on behalf of the Queen, which was attonded by an unusually large number of the rank and fashion now in London. Tho foreign ministers wore nearly all present, and there w.w a brilliant gathering of persons in all departments of the public service. Priuce Alfred has received tho Ordor of the Blood, Michain td Dem, from tho Bey of Tunis. It has never been given before to any one but a member of the Tunisian royal family. Prince Alfied has left England for Goimany to resume his studies at the University of Bonn. The Crown Prince of Denmark haj arrived in England on a visit to the royal family.
