Sir, — The time is fast approaching foi the sale of the site of the new town at Ngaiuawaina, and as yet no announcement lias appealed of the confiscation of the land, which it is generally ximleistood should precede the sale, Can you, Mr. Editor, infoira an anxious

Supposing all to be correct, are purchase* to be made fiom the plans ? or will any opportunity be affouled for intending buyer's to visit the place, and judge for themselves of the situation and the probability of iti advancement ' Smely it would pay the Government to announce for passages from heie and back (unless some desiie exists in high places to keep the affair in a feiv select hands, as something too good foi the geneial public), in order to give eveiy one a chance of seeing with then own eyes what is offered them. All cannot affonl to spend both time and money in such investigations, and yet they may bo able to do one of the two, and invest some money as well, and it is on then acoouut the Government should take into coii&idoratiou the advisability of giving a ' Free Ticictr.
