Acorrespjndent of the Palis Dcbats, writing from Turin on the 27th of May, sajs that the fact o£ the Pope having taken pait in the Corpus C'hnsti procession had somewhat calmed the agitation produced by his condition of health. It was nevertheless thought that his state was serious enough to justify the belief that in a short time the cusis -would ocom which must necessanly lead to the vacancy of the Holy See The Italia says that on the first announcement of the Pope's death moitj than 2,000 Roman lefugees, who have been supplied w ith passes by the Neapolitan authorities, will at once return to their countiy. A popular m<n emcut \\ ill take place on Roman terutory in seveial places, collisions with the French being carefully avoided, until by peisisting in pacific agitation, the Italian Government is forced by public opinion to accept the dnectiou of this movement and appeal to the votes of the Roman 2>eople. It is hoped that France will allow the King of Itilv to be pioclaimed on Roman temtoiy, and accept the fait accompli.
