Ono or two failures are repotted to-day ; the estates, however, are said to be small, and do not excite much attention. Mebsis. ]?iusor and Cohen sold to-day, at the Melbourne and Hobson's Bay Railway, tho damaged portion of the c.tigo of sugars cv ' Hannah Nicholson,' at very full juices, and for nett ensh. The snmc fiun afterwards sold at their rooms, the cargo of tho "faureaii, 1 from Mauritius, consisting of 4,211 bags of sugar at from £25 for medium counters, to £30 for fine ditto. The attendance was large, and the bidding 1 ! were spirited. The prices snow a slight advance on last sales. Messrs. Greig and Murray sold to-day, at their rooms, canvas {vaiiou? uumbera), 124 d. to 13Jd. per yard ; twine, Bd. to Is. Id. per lb. ; cotton waste, sd. to S}d. per lb. ; bran bags (all faults), 6s Gd. to Ss 3d. per dozen ; and large quantities of ironmongery, &c, at fair rates.
