Auckland, October 5, 18G3. THE Lieutenant-Geneial Commanding the Forces iv New Zealand having decided, with the concmlenco of His Excellency the Goveinor-in-Council, to raise a complete Company (strength as per margin)* of the Commissaiiat TiansportCoips fiom Voluntceis from tho Local Foices, and the Colonial Government having decided that .such Volunteers shall bobomc upon the strength of one of tho Waikato Regiments, and be subject to the Waikato conditions, and shall be entitled to the same privileges in eveiy re e pcct. The following Regulations aro piomulgated for general infoimation : — 1. That tiiinsfers from any of the Waikato Regiments to tho Transport Coips or Commissaiiat Depaitment, bo mndo on the same touns, and subject to any Regulations existing in lefereuce to similar transfers from Regiments of tho Line, and rctr.uisfeis to the Regiments be legulatcd by the same Rules. 2. Tho Men tiansfcuctl shall not loose any pi ivileges accining to them under the Waikato Regulations; but seivicf m cither of these Depaitments shall be reckoned as part of the seivicc requited of them. 3. The Men serving in those Departments, who aio entitled to Land, must lepair to and occupy their Laud, under their conditions of engagement, when lequncd by the Government. 4. The Colonial Government will pay tho men so employed the usual Militia pay of 2s. 6d. per dicin, and issue tho usual supply of clothing and arms when icquiicd. The Commissaiiat will piovido latious free of expense to the Colony. In addition to the pay offered by tho Colonial Government, Ofliceis, Non-commissioned Ofhcci 5 ;, and Men, so employed, will receive worldna pay at tho following lafces fiom tho Commissaiiat Depal tmeut : Officeis 9s. 6*l. per diem Staff Sergeants . . 2s.
