Genoral Lee is strongly reinforced, and contemplates offensive operations. The agitation is renewed in England respecting the building of steam rams at Liverpool. ltussia concedes to Poland a special constitution. The Frankfort Conference has closed, and the Austrian Emperor's opposition is modified. Queen Victoria has had an interview with
the Prussian and Austrian sovereigns. At the Newcastle boat race, Cooper defeated Chambers easily, Green's illness preventing his pulling. Mace defeated Gross in the prize fight.
