George F. Am worth was charged with vagrancy. Pattiufc O'Har.v, of the armed ])ohce, deposed : At about three o'clock that morning, he fouud the liiisoner lying in a coach-house, in Uhancery-streefc. On Wednesday last, between twelve and one o'clock, witness had occasion to leave the shop for a few minutes and on his return he missed Is. 4d. in ulver and lOd in copper fiom the till. Did not know what tliPie was in the till in the division where the gold and notes Veio kept. .Tames llobinson, a sou of a seigeant in the 14th Regiment, deposed • That he knew the piisoner, who lived at Mount Kdon. Jla showed them to witness. The pusonerhere stated that Robinson helped him to steal the money and spend it. Police Constable O'llaia deposed to the arrest of the piisoner, and to his having acknowledged stealing the money, and divided it with the last witness The prisoner confoi&ed his guilt, and was sentenced to go to gaol for mx month*.
