STOCK IN THE BONDED WAREHOUSES AT THE PORT OF AUCKLAND ON NOVEMBER 6th.
Mr. Alfred fincldand sold at Newmarket, yesterday, the ten Leicester Rams, imported by the ' Indian Empire.' They were of s*ood quality anil occasioned considerable competition, realising an average of £33 each, the highest price being £55, aud the lowest £21. A large number of oatrle, 261 head, weie penned, principally from the neighbourhood, but including the cargoes of the 'Excelsior' from Napier, and the 'Sylph fiom the Bay of Islands. Late prices were not maintained by 10s. or 15s. per head, those by the 'Excelsun' averaging £11, by the 'Sylph ' AS 16s. od., and the whole number brought an aveiage of £11 10s. od. each. F.it cattle were plentiful and easier in pi ice, 30s per head. D.ury cows sold high and are in request The uhecp market was fairly supplied, prices obtained were high, paiticnlaily for fat sheep. Lambs were scarce, and bi ought ficwn 18s. to 2 is. each.
