Hunter and Cochiane, and Co , report at their sale at Newmarket, held last Tuesday, — a good supply of cattle, and a goodly number of buyers. Fat cattle sold at late rates ; store cattle sold freely ; two working bullocks made £20 the pair. Good supply of fat sheep, which sold at late prices. A lot of store sheep sold for 10b. each ; they were an aged mixed lot. Messrs. Cheeseman report that their sale of live stock at Newmarket on Tuesday last, the 19th inst , was well attended with buyers, and every tiling offered, sold at good prices. Fat steers realispd from £8 7s 6d. to £9 12s. 6d. Cows, £7 7s. to £9. Stoic cattle £6 17s. 6d. to £8 ss. Fat sheep, from 17s. 3d. to 21s. 9d., and lambs 18s. each. The bidding for rams both for sale and lease went oft' with spirit. Kam lambs of the Leicester class, bied in the Province, sold at from £2 2s. to £5. The imported rams were leased for the season at from £10 to £12 17s. 6d. each. Mr. Alfred Buckland reports Ids yards on Thursday last to have been fanly supplied with stock. Stoic cattle weie dull or sale; large steers realued £6 17s. 6d. A mixed lot of cows and steon>, £5 ss. each. Dairy cows are in great request if near their calving or giving milk. Fat cattle were in average supply, and sold freely, prices having a tendency to advance. Store sheep (weaned ewes) re/lized 14s. 6d. ; and a lot from the coast, lls. 6d. ea?* . Several Leicester rams weie brought forward, but' met with a dull sale. Fat sheep were in moderate supply, the enquiry for them was hunted ; late prices were obtained. A few well fatted pigs of small size sold at high rates. Stoic pigs were m good request, and a considerable number sold.
