To the Electors of the Southern Division. r\ EfJTLEMEN— The fact that Electors of your \JT Division (unsolicited) should have voted for me in the recent Elections, is proof positive that at any rate I am not singular in not believing in party this, or party that, or that to advance the Province, its affairs must be bounced about like a shuttlecock, at the caprice, or for the amusement, of self-desig-nated Constitutionalists, or self-styled Progressists. Something more than the mere collection and "disposal of the Revenue is required to constitute good Government. Just and equitable laws would do more to advance the moral and social well-being of the community, than all the party moves put to gether, however dexterous and effective they might be in tripping up political opponents. In thanking those Gentlemen of your Division who voted for me, my only feeling of regret is, that they did not bring forward some'person more generally known throughout the division than myself.
