The above articles to be of good Marketable quality of their 'respective kinds, & according to sample where samples hare been deposited. It is to be understood that the Contract will be for retail Supplies, and that the Government will not be debarred from procuring elsewhere similar articles in wholesale quantities when required. The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any Tender. Tenders to he sealed and endorsed "Tenders for Provisions." Further particulars may be obtained on application at this office.
