Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland, December 2nd, 1857 rpENDERS will be received at this office until - 1 - the 13th' of ' February next from persons desirous of contracting to perform 6he following service for 12 months from the acceptance of the contract, viz : — To convey mails once a week between Auckland and New Plymouth. The Contractor to take the Mails from the Post Office in Auckland at two p.m. every Monday, and deliver them at the Post Office in New Ply mouth at one p.m on the following Saturday j and in like manner to take the Mails from the Post Office in New Plymouth at two o'clock every Monday, and deliver them at the Post Office in Auckland at one o'clock on the following Saturday — leaving and calling for Mails at Waingaroa and Kawhia and waiting half an hour at each of tho^e Post Offices. No Wail to be carried to exceed 28Hbs. in weight. '* Further particulars may be ascertained on application to the Postmasters at Auckland, Kawhia, and New Plymouth Every Tender must specify the time at which the subscriber will be prepared to commence the service, and security will be required for the due performance of the Contract Payments to the Contractor will be made monthly by the Postmaster at Auckland, or New Plymouth, at the option ot the contractor. The Contractor to take the Mails from the Post Office in Wellington at 2 p.m. every Monday, and deliver them at the Po->t Office in New Plymouth at one p m. on the following Saturday, and in like manner to take the Mails from the Post Office in New Plymouth at two o'clock every Monday, 'and deliver them at the Post Office in Wellington at one o'clock on the following Saturday — leaving and calling for Mails at Wanganui, Rangitiki and Manawatu: waiting at each of her two latter Post Offices half an hour, and at the Wanganui Office 3 hours. No Mail to exceed 28ft>s. in weight. Further particulars may be ascertained on application to the Postma a ters at Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth . will be received at this Office until •*- noon of Saturday, the 26th inst., for the conveyance twice a week during the year 1858, of Mails betweeu 1. Auckland, Onehunga, Otahubu, and Papakura 2. Papakura and Waiuku 3. Papakura and -Wairoa 4. Auckland, St. Jnhn's College, Panmure, Howick, and Tauranga Creek. Further information may be obtained on application at this office. The contractors will be required to commence the services on Saturday, the 2nd of January, aud 50 give security for the performance of their contracts. W Corbett, Postmaster.
