At the sale held by Mr. Alfred Buckiand, at Newmarket, on Tuesday last, the supply of Fat'CattliTiras less than usual, and a slight advance in price took place in consequence. For Store Cattle the competition was spirited, and last week's rates were .fully niaintained. . There .wai a large market of Fat Sheep and Lambs, with a"cofreip*dnd- ' ing demand ; those by the Shepherdess, from Ahuriri, went to the Grazier's at 275. each. A number of Mares and Horses were brought forward and disposed of at satisfactory prices. Light-harness Horses, of a showy appearance, are in request. Mr. W. Hunter reports that at the Weekly Sale held at Newmarket, on Tuesday last, Cattle of all kinds remained 1 firm at last week's prices. Beef was not so plentiful as of late, and the prices obtained shewed an advance upon the paevious week. Store Stock still brings a good price, and is in demand ; several lots were sold, bringing from £8 to £5 17s. 6d. Dairy Cows brought from £11 12s. 6d- to £8 ss. A Mare and Foal sold for £26. Horsea brought £35. £30 10s., £29 10s., £21. £14, £13, anif a Colt £8 10s.
