We have received Mr. Elwyn Dicksons letter concetning Mr Davis, lately nsitive mterpieter, in reply to certain strictures whicn appeared in a lo?al journal. We are obliged to decline inserting it, on account of a rule which we have laid down to oui selves, not to risk being di awn into controversy with pither ol thelosser newspapers Were it not for that rule, we should rind ourselves drawn inta endless replication and rejoinder As the t<vo are supposed to be of opposite political principles, theprobabilicy is that what the one may refuse the other will insert. Dr. Strati-okd at an early opportunity. Captain Millton's reply to Captain Wing's letter has been received, and will appear in oui next.
