Gallopade went away with the lead for a couple of hundied yards, when she was joined by Prince Charlie, who ran with her to the dip, wheie Printer's Devil took up the runniug and carried it on to the Brewery, when Betty Martin, who had been waiting quietly, came in front, ran with the colt to within a hundred yards, and then lef- him, went on by herself, and won by two lengths. Flora led off at a middling pace, witli Zoe lying at her quarter, Camden in the rear but close up. At the Brewery, the horse went up and ran with the mares for a few lengths and then dropped into his former place. About half way^ the pace became very severe, but no material change occurred in the relative positions of the horses, Flora still leading, and at the dip, which she went down at a very fast pace, increased her lead. At the lower flat, the lot closed up, and ran together to the flax bushes, where Flora took a clear lead ot a couple of lengths. At the last turn Zoe ran up to her, but immediately fell back, repeating her rush at the distance with a similar result, when she appeared beaten, but when within a few lengths of the chair she came a. third time, and after a severe struggle with Flora, defeated her by a head. The colt, however, resumed his lead, and near the distance apparently had

the race in hand, when he broke divwu badly dn the oT fore leg, the chssnut filly a; 'ing on wkn the running, winning the heat easyily. In the second heat Lamplighter led, with Alice Lee *t his girths to Hendersons turn, where the filly went ir front to the ;!istance, when she w.ts ciught by Model who won deverly l >y ■' length. In the third heat Alice Lee led to the Brewery, where Model, who had go a very bad start, went up but was shortly after passed by Lamplighter, who went in trout at the distance and woneas'ly; the next heat being run with a similar result. The LADIES' PURSE of 30 soys , added to a sweepstakes of 3 soys. each. T. C. P. weights. Once round and a distance. (2 subs.) Mr. Redv/ood's bit. m. Zmgara, by II Barbiere, 6 yrs i*- 0 - Mr. Stafford's eh m. Flora, aged dr. Zingara cantered over, Flora not going for the race. The WAIRAU STAKES of 1 soy. each, 10 soys. added ; second horse saved his stake. No horse entered for any race where 20 soys. are added to be allowed to start. Catch weights. Once round and a distance, at a trot. Won by Mr. Gaukroger's bk. m. Sal, beating eight others.
