OUR MANUFACTURES.
To the Editor of the Southern Cross. Sm,— Being much interested in the manufacture? of this Province, I have looked with some degree of anxiety for the productions of a Company 3hoha\e been lately giving notice, in the * New Zealan d er,' that they were engaged in the weaving ot blunders, o! which specimens would bo shortly submitted. Having examined some ot their first attempts, allovv me to suggest to those gentlemen who aie pirtnors in the B of W. Blunder Co., that the miioduUum ot e\en a " small quantity of truth into the thread of their wares vvoiild inciease the value of the labiic. I have no doubt the use of ' this new staple would be rather iarring to their machinery— but e\en the introduction of a new engine, altogether, would be more than repaid by the increased value of their productions, which, at present, iudging by the samples submitted, can only be i united amongst devils-dust, and other such worthless articles. Yours, &c, &c, Ay Oei> Wkavek.
