Mr. Alfred Buckland held his customary Newmarket cattle sale on Tuesday last, with rather a small supply of stock, which, however, realized fair prices. Ahout fourteen head of fat beef fetched from £19 to £10 10s. e,tch. Several lots of young heifers (about nine) from £9 ss. to £2 4s. each. Five bullocks, in low condition, from £9 2s. 6d. to £3 5s Dairy cows £12, £10 10s., and £8 Ms., respectively. A lot of twenty-one sheep averaged 16s. 4d., and ten fat ewes at 435. The weather was fine, and the attendance numerous. At the Newmarket cattle sale, on Tuesday, 26th insl., held by Messrs. Hunter and Cleland, they report that cattle are still firm at former quotations. Fat bullocks were sold from £12 to £14. Dairy cows £14 10s. A snull flock of store sheep brought 17s. 6d. per head. The same gentlemen held a monthly sale At Otahuhu on Wednesday, where they sold bullocks averaging £14 for a lot; the highest was £14 10s., the lowest £12. They also sold a lot of sheep for £1 10s 6cl. per head. A good saddle horso sold privately for £30.
