The Lord Montgomery sailed from Nelson, bound to "Wellington, on the 24th April, after coming through Cook's Straits she wa9 unable to enter Port Nicholson on account of the wind ; she continued beating on and off the land for nearly three weeks, when the water and provisions running short, the Captain bore up for Auckland, where he arrived on Saturday last, having been 31 days at sea. The new schooner Taranaki arrived from Nelson on Saturday last, she is eleven days out. The Taranaki is a schooner of about 100 tons register; and is the first vessel «ver built at New Plymouth. The Tally Ho, Captain Heckle, left Hobson's Bay on the 12th instant, the Mail Packet Boomerang arrived at Port Phillip Heads on the 11th inst .nt, the news by that vessel had been anticipated by the Frances Henty and the Tasmania. Captain Heckle made the North Cape 7 days after leaving Port Phillip, since which the Tally Ho has had to contend with light 'windi and calms, which has occupied other 6 days ; she brings 35 passengers and a general cargo. One birth occurred during the passage. The brig Ocean, Captain Cain, hence the 20th April, arrived at Melbourne on the 2th instant. The barque Anthracite was to sail for this port, with passengers, a few days after the Tally Ho. The brig Plumstcd was also advertised for Auckland.
