To Parties concerned.

HAVING noticed an advertisement' in the 'Southern Cross' of the 18th October, signed Robt. McLeod, Waiheki, cautioning parties from felling, cutting, or removing timber off (SeTtai'ff land on tbe WaiheH, comprising the Bays known as Opopo, Tokata/.Huruhi, Waikokopu; and believing his sole object being that of annoyance to parties settled there, and who like myself, have purchased Timber within the said boundary from the natives, I wish him' to understand that I intend cutting, felling, and removing | Timber, unless lie satisfies me that he has authority for preventing it. Any party having a claim on said land, will prevent after dispute by making their claims known. Bernard McDermott. Waiheki, Oct. 55th, 1854. '
