A MEETING of the Harbour Commissioners ■**- will be held in the Harbour Committee office, Queen Street, at twelve o'clock at noon on Wednesday the 7th of June next, for the purpose of electing Four Commissioners to supply the vacancies in the Harbour Committee, caused by the resignation of Messrs W. F. Ported, W. S. Grahame, W. C. Daldy, and J. W. Bain, Robert Sciiultz,' Clerk and Treasurer* Auckland, 18th May, 1854. To be Let, for a term of 7 to 10 years, or, to be Sold, T/" AW HOE HOE, the late residence of Mr, ■*•*- Walter Brodie, situated in Doubtless Bay, North of the Bay of Islands, and opposite the harbour of Mongonui. This property con-, sists of 1000 acres, with a crown grant. The house is beautifully situated upon rising ground near the sea shore, with a small river running at the side and back of it. The house, containing 10 rooms, 7 of whioh have been lately, papered and painted, and with out-houses adjoin, ing. There are two paddocks fenced in besides several acres of grass land. The Garden ia stocked with an immense variety, 37 different sorts of Fruit Trees, all in full bearing, includ- * ing about 500 Bananah and Plantain trees, with fruit abundant, and 700 vines imported 'by the owner from the Cape. There is a neverfailing stream of water running through the Garden; and also a fall of water near the house sufficient to turn a small mill in all seasons; and it is the best fishing station on the coast. The neighbouring natives are extremely serviceable, and their labour may be obtained for about Is. per day. From the stock of Pheasants last year, there should now be about 4000, and a large number of wild rabbits. There is a valuable Copper Mine on the property, which has been practically worked. The produce of the Garden alone would more than pay the rent required even in supplying the shipping alone in the season at Mongonui, where there are as many as 30 large ships atone time. At present the property is leased as a sheep run, which it is well adapted for. For further particulars apply to W. Brodie Fort-street, April 10 1854. TO BE LET, THE Dwelling House of the PAH, near Onehunga, with garden, orchard, and pleasure grounds attached. Apply to Brown & Campbelii,
