COLONIAL MARKETS.
Sydney, June 30. — Wheat : The prices given at the mills have ranged from 4s. to,4s.,6d. Imported is dull, and may be quoted at 4s. -6d. to 4s. 7d. — Maize, colonial, 3s. 9a. to 4s.; New Zealand, 3s. 6d. to 4s.— Oats, very dull at 3s. — Flour, fine, £1 I 10s., but some of the millers - quote as low as £W. Potatoes, Circular head are in demand at £6 108., and colonial at £4 per ton.— Butter, 10§d. to la. — Cheese, 3£d. to 4^d.— Oranges>4d. .to 6d. per dozen. — Lemons, 3d. for common, to 6d. ,for Lisbon. — Apples, 15s. to 20s. the bushel. — Hay, averaged £4 ltfs.— 'Cattle and Sheep. The transactions during the week have averaged 9s. per, 100 lbs. for first quality stock (both sheep and cattle), and 7s. for second rate. — Horses, 40 colts, selected for the Indian market, were sold at £12 each ; also, one at ,£15, one at £13, three at £10, and "five at an average of £4 10. 25 head were disposed of at prices varying from £30 to £26, the general aver.age being from £1 to £10. — Abstracted from the S.M. Sd. per lb.;- cheese, 8d. to Is. per ditto ; eggs, Is. to Is. 2d. per dozen; potatoes, 7s. per cwt. ; onions, l£d. .per bunch ; carrots, 3d. per ditto ; peas, 2g. per peck>; beef, 2d, to 3d. per lb. ; mutton, J^d. to 3dT per ditto j veal, 3d. to 5d. per ditto; lamb, -Is. ; 6d. to 2s. per quarter; 1 hay, £2 10s. per ton. Provisions are moderate in Western Australia — •mime beef and nnitton are advertised at 3d. per lb M and vegetables at Id. At a cattle sale in April, cows sold at from £5 to £6 12s. ; steers, at £11 p,er'ip!air ; 'and young cattle at from £1 to £i esch^ .Launceston, June 9. — There is a decided improvement in the wheat market this week, and 'wheat is said to be^firm at 3s. 6d. \ English barley 3s.,; pats, 2s. 3d. — L, Examiner. Hobart Town.— Wheat is rather on the rise, and 4s. 2d. is given freely. There ia but little in the market.and a farther advance may be expected, English barley,'3'3. 6d. ; oats, 2s. 6d. per bushel; j.poiatoes are firm at £3 i&3. ,per ton, and rise is expe,cted ia these, as but few come into the market ; f flour is quoted 'at frcm £i<0 to £10 10s. per ton.7- //.
