The barque "Josaphme,"3 lo tons, Smith, cleared at Sydney on the 22 ult. for New Zealand via New Castle, to load 800 tons coals for the Kawau smelting works. The brigantine "Spec," and the schooner "Cheerful" have been sold by private contract, the former , to Mr. M. Orr for the sum of .£l4OO, the latter to Captain Ogilbie for .£lOOO. Both said vessels are laid on at Sydney for California. The "Elizabeth Archer," the "Margareth," and the "John and Charlotte" were also on the berth at Sydney for San Francisco. At Hobart Town, the schooners "Waterlily," "John Bull," and "Munford" were loading for the same destination. The ship "Spartan," the barque ''William Wat- ' son," and the schooner "Union," are laid on for California at Melbourne.
