The Address to His Excellency from the Inhabitants of Auckland.

Perhaps we owe, and we now offer an apology to our readers for not bringing out, as promised, our Supplement last week ; this arose, as is generally known, from His Excellency not having had time from other more pressing business to prepare an answer. Indeed, we only received it yesterday afternoon, and are] therefore at present unable to offer any renlarks upon it. Although the Answer is not very full, we may state that this was rendered unnecessary from the fact of the deputation having been honoured with three hours' interview with His Excellency at the time of presentation. A full report of which we shall endeavour to prepare for our next publication.
