~ '.SALES BY AUCTION. AUSPICIOUS MOMENT FOR THE INVESTMENT OF CAPITAL. Splendid Opportunity. | MESSRS. • BROWN & CAMPBELL have the pleasure to announce, that they have been favoured with instructions to offer for sale, by public competition, at their Rooms in Shortland Crescent, THIS DAY, the 6th of May, at 12 o'clock precisely: — ELEVEN VALUABLE TOWN ALLOTMENTS, seven of these form a portion of the wellknown corner allotment of Shortland Crescent and Lower Queen-street, which realized the "highest price at the first Government Sale of Town Land. THE SITUATION, whether for the wholesale or retail merchant, is allowed by every one to be the best in town, in fact— unrivalled ; it commands the principal thoroughfare, and is opposite the Landing place in Commercial Bay — where shortly will be commenced the NEW WHARF. The remaining four allotments are situated on the north side of Shortland Crescent, and have lately been immensely raised in value by the recent improvements. — They command a view of our HARBOUR AND SHIPPING, and either as places of business or residence are second to none in the Crescent. That a more favourable opportunity than the present, for the judicious investment of capital, could not by any possibility occur — the salutary check which the settlement has lately been labouring under, having already begun to dissipate before the energy and enterprise of our Agricultural Population — the steady.Jflow of immigration and capital towards our shores — the rapid increase of our MINERAL EXPORTS, and the immediate certainty of shipping ma-chine-dressed Flax to any extent. Not a moment should be lost by the holders of capital in making immediate investments — the present are golden moments^-delay is dangerous. In the course of a few months property will have risen fifty per cent., and when the time arrives that we shall hail the advent of our NEW GOVER N O R , the fortunate purchasers of the present properties will find they have more than DOUBLED THEIR CAPITAL. N.B. — Plans of the Properties can be seen, and terms of' sale ascertained, at the Rooms of the Auctioneers NOTICE. MESSRS. BROWN & CAMPBELL BEG to intimate, that they have received orders to withdraw for the present the Seven allotments first described in their Land Sale of this day. — But the remaining four allotments will be offered for sale as advertised.
